Changes in My Life Come like Rainstorms in LOST.

I feel like my life is continuously changing. Duh. What a blatantly obvious statement. Why not just say that the water is wet and the wind is invisible, Warren.

But really, to expand that thought, I feel like when serious changes come, they're more often than not rather rapid and unexpected.

And that's what I'm waiting for. A change. I don't know when it will be or what it will look like, but I'll be welcoming that change.

(By the way, Hi, Laurel's mom! I've looked at Rift Valley. I'm thinking of staying more in a non-Christian setting, but thanks for the tip!)

Though the past couple of days have been quite dreary and the sky has absolutely no variation from the drab grey, I have come to realize that this is some of my favorite weather. Odd, right?

I think it's the warmth and the snow melting that's really what I love about it. It signals the coming of spring (even though it's quite aways away (I use that phrase in spoken English, but it looks dreadful written down)).

In honor of Eva, I've written a haiku about the weather/time of year.

Grey roof-sky warming
Death peeks through frozen vapor
Soon gives way to life

I'm no poet.
And I know it. (dah dum dum kachaa)

Thanks to Guy for showing this video to me almost 2 years ago.

A Toast

Good food, good company, good games, and random activities (paint chips, anyone :) make for times that warm the heart and make amazing memories. I'm already nostalgic for last night. And tonight. That's strange to me.

Here's to similar blessings in your lives (Raises a hypothetical glass). May God bless you as abundantly and richly as he has blessed me!

Sometimes You Need Bad Times to Know Why You Love the Good Times

After a bad week (for any reason), even an average week is so much more appreciated.

I realize that I need the times of difficulty or poor spirits. They help me be more thankful for small events and average days in my life and teaches me patience, endurance, and faith along the way. Thank God for difficult times!

Cause: people . . . . . Effect: the feeling you get in-between vomiting

I hate how much I need people because they always end up disappointing me.

I can't wait to be in His eternal embrace where I'll never be lonely or downtrodden again. . .

The Superb Owl

I'm not the biggest football fan in the world, but I LOVED the Superbowl last night! It was such a good game, and though I was rooting for Arizona, I still enjoyed some of the amazing plays.

I also enjoyed the commercials. Here's my favorite:

What I did not so much enjoy was "The Boss" at halftime. He was too humble.
